Garaventa, a Swiss ropeway manufacturer, received an order to deliver a 5 meter wide CWA cable car to the Australian Blue Mountains near Sydney:

Together with our partner Henning Harders Australia PTY in Sydney, we organised this special transport by sea freight. The challenge began with the 5-meter-wide pre-carriage on the low-loader across Basel Land to the Birs terminal. The handling at the Birs terminal worked smoothly with the new Overhead crane (100 tons) and the cable car was safely loaded on a flat rack for onward transport on the Rhine to Antwerp. After 38 days halfway around the world, the cable car arrived safely in Sydney
